Welcome to Zigli's Editor and File Manager.
-------------------------------------------
Linux Installation:
If you don't have Java installed, copy the jre5.bin file to /usr/local. Run `sh jre5.bin`and rename
the resulting directory, `jre1.5.0' , to `java'.
Copy the ZFM.jar file to a base directory of your choice and unzip it.
It will create the subdirectory ZigliFM/.
If your Java system has the `jar` command, you can use it to unzip the file,
otherwise use `unzip`.
There are three ways to run: `zefm` runs the Editor integrated with the File Manager.
`zefm_no_zedit` runs just the File Manager (useful for running remotely or without X-windows), `zigliedit` runs just the Editor.
Windows Installation:
If you don't have Java installed, copy the jre5.exe file to C:\ and execute it, e.g.,
use Run from the Explorer Start Menu.
Copy the ZFMW.jar file to a base directory of your choice on C:\ and unzip it.
It will create the subdirectory ZigliFM/.
If your Java system has the `jar` command, you can use it to unzip the file,
otherwise use `unzip`, `pkunzip`, or `winzip` depending on availability.
There are three batchfiles included: `ZEFM` runs the Editor integrated with the File Manager.
`ZEFM_NO_ZEDIT` runs just the File Manager (useful for running remotely), `ZIGLIEDIT` runs just the Editor.
Additional jar files:
Download batik.jar for SVG support. The File Manager will convert .svg files to .png for viewing.
Download javatools.jar for javadoc and support for viewing .class files. The sun tools
javap command produces information on fields and methods of the .class file which
is then presented by the File Manager.
Hope you find this useful,
phf
